Formula for Calculating Trader's Position in the Rankings

The position in the Rankings is given based on the score granted to a Trader as of the current date based on the performance over a certain period (30, 21, 14, 7 days). The score is calculated on a daily basis, therefore the Trader's position in the Rankings is updated every day.

The basic score is given based on the yield and activity level per each day over a certain period taking into consideration the attenuation (diminishing factor).

In the specified period of 30 days, the biggest score (points) is given for the last day of the period. The score given for the days before the current date is calculated taking into account the diminishing factor.

Then, additional multiplying and diminishing coefficients are applied to the basic score:

  • the multiplying coefficient is applied to the basic score for the continuity of trading over the period of seven days preceding the current date;
  • the multiplying coefficient is applied to the basic score for the persistent presence in Top 10 of the Rankings over the past seven days preceding the current date;
  • the diminishing coefficient is applied to the basic score for any losses exceeding the specified level (penalty for drawdown).

FORMULA

, where

  • Bmn – he total score of the Master m (Bm0 – today's score);
  • n – the number of days since the calculation date of the Rankings (n=1 – a day ago (yesterday), n=2 – two days ago (the day before yesterday) and so on);
  • N – a period used for calculating the position in the Rankings (30 by default);

Qу – drawdown for the period 1 <= n <= y

Qy = 100%*(Dm1 + Dm2 +… Dmy)/Em(y+1)

F – the drawdown coefficient

F = min{F7; F14; F21 ;F30}

Qy F7 F14 F21 F30
Qy <= 10 % 1 1 1 1
10% < Qy <= 20% 1 1 1 1
20% < Qy <= 30% 1 1 1 1
30% < Qy <= 40% 0,8 0,9 1 1

*To calculate Fy (y={7;14;21;30}) we need to calculate the value Qyand find the corresponding value to it in the column Fy

Ha the coefficient of the continuity of trading

Rb = 1.25, if for every Pmn при 1<= n <= b the following statement is valid: Pmn <= 10;

By default b=7

Rb = 1 in all other cases

Rb the continuity coefficient in the Rankings' Top 10.

Ha = 1.25, if for every Dmn where 1<= n <= a the following statement is valid: Dmn <> 0;

By default а=7

Ha = 1 in all other cases

kn – the diminishing coefficient

1.00, если 1≤n≤7

0.75, если 8≤n≤14

0.50, если 15≤n≤21

0.25, если 22≤n≤N

  • Pmn – the Master's position in the Rankings on the day n;
  • Mn – the number of Masters in the database on the day n;
  • Emn – Master's (m) Equity (excluding deposit/withdrawal) based on the results of the day n.
  • Dmn – an increase in the Master's (m) account balance based on the results of the day n (Equity excluding deposit/withdrawal (or calculation based on PL over the day));
  • Lmn – the total amount of closed lots by the Master m based on the results of the day n;
  • dmn – the score gained by the Master m for an increase in the Master's (m) account balance based on the results of the day n;

THE ALGORITHM OF CALCULATING Dmn:

If Dmn ≤ 0, dmn = 0;

M1n – the number of Masters meeting the condition Dmn > 0;

P = { Dmn | Dmn > 0 } – the set of all Masters meeting the condition Dmn > 0;

The set P contains M1n elements.

– arranging in order the set of all Masters,

meeting the condition Dmn > 0 according to the decreasing value Dmn.

If the smaller value i is given to the Master whose value Lmn is higher; If the values of Lmn are equal, then the smaller value i is given to the Master whose Equity is higher; If the Equities are equal, the smaller value i is given to the Master who joined the Rankings earlier.

The value dmn is granted to the Master m based on the results of the day n according to the table::

i dmn
i ≤ M1n/10 5.00
M1n/10 < i ≤ 2*M1n/10 4.50
2*M1n/10 < i ≤ 3*M1n/10 4.00
3*M1n/10 < i ≤ 4*M1n/10 3.50
4*M1n/10 < i ≤ 5*M1n/10 3.00
5*M1n/10 < i ≤ 6*M1n/10 2.50
6*M1n/10 < i ≤ 7*M1n/10 2.00
7*M1n/10 < i ≤ 8*M1n/10 1.50
8*M1n/10 < i ≤ 9*M1n/10 1.00
9*M1n/10 < i 0.50

lmn – the score (in points) gained by the Master m for the total amount of lots closed by the Master m based on the results of the day n;

THE ALGORITHM OF CALCULATING lmn:

  • If Lmn = 0, lmn = 0;
  • M2n – the number of Masters meeting the following condition Dmn > 0;
  • S = {Lmn | Lmn > 0} – the set of all Masters meeting the condition Lmn > 0; the set S contains >M2n elements.
  • –the set of all Masters meeting the condition Lmn > 0 shall be arranged in order according to the decreasing value Lmn. If the smaller value s is given to the Master whose value Dmn is higher; If the values Lmnare equal, the smaller value s is given to the Master whose Equity is higher; If the Equities are equal, the smaller value s is given to the Master who joined the Rankings earlier.
  • The value lmn is granted to the Master m based on the results of the day n according to the table:
s lmn
s <= M2n/10 5.00
M2n/10 < s <= 2* M2n/10 4.50
2* M2n/10 < s <= 3* M2n/10 4.00

6* M2n/10 < s <= 7* M2n/10 2.00
7* M2n/10 < s <= 8* M2n/10 1.50
8* M2n/10 < s <= 9* M2n/10 1.00
9* M2n/10 < s 0.50
